Get involved! Voluntary Services and Summer Camps
Would you like to work for understanding, diversity and solidarity and gain experience abroad? With ARSP you can get involved in year long social or historical projects. Or you could take part in an ARSP summer camp for two weeks: you work and learn on a specific project and as part of an international group.
A German Volunteer in the UK reports: Greta Bauer – ARSP volunteer at the AJR
The English summer has arrived and I am enjoying the light evenings, the summer breeze and the ease it comes with. At the start of my year abroad, the summer always seemed so far away and we saw it as a showing of time so that when it arrived we were sure this precious year was coming to an end.
„I was delighted to be invited to several Shabbat dinners on Friday evenings by colleagues that provided an enlightening insight to Jewish traditions. After this year, I value the knowledge I could gain about the history of Judaism and the understanding of the different communities. The visibility of Jewish life, especially in the Jewish areas in North-West London like Finchley or Golders Green, is something I hadn’t experienced before in Germany“
